Monthly Potluck: Understanding Maine’s Public Lands in the Rangeley Region

This month’s gathering is Thursday, August 20, and will feature guest speaker Stephen Richardson of the Maine Bureau of Public Lands.
Stephen will share an overview of the history, programs, public access, and permitted uses of state-owned public lands throughout the greater Rangeley area. As the Rangeley landscape changes rapidly, it is increasingly important for all of us to understand how these lands are managed—and how we can advocate for continued access and the preservation of our traditional sporting heritage.
This program is the first in a series of informative presentations planned for the coming months with representatives from:
- Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust
- High Peaks Alliance
- Seven Islands Land Company
- Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife
