Range Complete + Open House, Oct 11
Monday, September 29, 2025
Oquossoc – The Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen’s Association (RRG&SA) is pleased to announce the completion of a series of improvements to our rifle and pistol ranges. These upgrades were designed with member safety, accessibility, and long-term use in mind and mark the successful completion of Phase 1 of our multi-year range development project.
The extensive work was completed over the past two weeks thanks to the dedication of members and volunteers. President Sonny Peirce, Ron Lagrue, and Adam O’Neal led the on-site work, with additional support from Steve Morrill Excavation, Wilkins Rossignol, Board Member Sara Smith, and several other volunteers who assisted with essential tasks such as moving awning frames and making site adjustments.
Special thanks to Craig Gerry, State of Maine, Range coordinator, and Meredith Podgurski, IF& W Regional Safety Coordinator.
“Quality marksmanship is a result of ethical harvesting of the animals we hunt in this great State,” offered volunteer Adam O’Neal. “We are proud to offer a range facility to provide you, our members, a place to hone your firearm skills, for this reason and to continue to keep our Maine hunting heritage alive. The upgrades that have been made to our Range Facilities will provide a safe place for improving your marksmanship skills.”
